Opening This Sunday—Hope to See you There

Hot off the Easel, and Another Work in Progress
Another Outer Cape Cod-inspired painting was just completed this afternoon (Sunday 1/20/12). Back to a large format; this one is 24 x 48, and entitled Entering the Provincelands. A larger version can be seen in the Cape Cod Series gallery. Feel free to let me know what you think. I have to say that it's fun to work large again!
Here's another recently FINISHED piece, The Only Moment is Now. It's the second painting in my new "Signs of Life" series of neon signage with a unique twist. HOWEVER, as they say in those dreaded infomercials: "But wait: there's more!" I just began the third, a 24 x 48 oil entitled Dream Big: No Excuses, which also uses a motel theme.
The idea for the series is founded in a recurring thought: wouldn't it be great if we received regular, difficult-to-ignore reminders of the things that we should remember—and live by? The thought continues: to get my attention, they'd have to be either neon signs, flashing lights, or both. Such is the source of this concept. I have lots of ideas I plan on following to see where they lead. See a larger version of the above work in the Night & Neon Gallery.
Another Cape Cod Painting Has Found a New Home
Art to Art was one of the recent works on display at Scene Outdoors, my November exhibition with George Dirolf at the Oakroom Artists Gallery. This one is now delivered, sold over the holiday season. The "Little Capers"—8 x 10 paintings of the Cape—have been well-received and selling steadily. There will be more in this series in 2012. If you'd like to see images of the others, as well as a larger image of this one, please visit my Cape Cod Series Gallery.
We're grateful to those who supported the Home. Thousands were raised; perhaps you might still consider a donation to the Home by clicking on the "Donate" button on their website. We—an artist and a Hospice Chaplain—know it's a less-than-robust economy. It is for us, too. And, it's just past the Holiday Season. But we're dedicated to ensuring that the Home will not close as they did two years ago when funds dried up. Their needs far exceed what we we able to raise for them. PLEASE HELP. Thank you for your support!
The Joan Nicole Prince Home is recognized as an IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
All gifts are tax deductible and a letter/receipt will be mailed to you.
Four Recent Giclées of Early Works—Now Available!
These paintings—and one more—will be added to my Giclée gallery just this week! They are available in at least two sizes each. Please visit the Gallery to learn more and to see larger versions of all of them, and many more.
